Here's a couple nice crisp, sharp copies of the Smith Chart - in both the Black Magic design, already laminated for you on heavy cardstock, sized 8.5x11 and priced at $3.45 (includes shipping)...or if you prefer a laminated Normalized Impedance and Admitance Coordinates Smith Chart.  Both very crisp and detailed.  Order both laminated Smith Charts today - and SAVE!

Colorized Smith Chart with Normalized Impedance and Admittance Coordinates....Radially Scaled Parameters, Sized 8x10 and laminated!
The Smith Chart was created by mapping the usualy impedance coordinates from an open-ended rectangular grid into a fiinite circle.  Impedance, however, is not the only way to specify the radio of voltage current.  Admittance (Y) is the reciprocal of impedance. This reciprocal, Y=I/Z, is just the ratio of current to voltage.  Impedance is sufficient for most problems, bu admittance comes in very handy at tiimes.

If you are a ham radio operator and into hands-on radio, then these Smith Charts are for you!

The Z and Y Smith Charts:  Many problems in transmission lines are best worked out using a combination of Z and Y.  Some parts of the problem are easiest working wtih Z, while others are easiest using Y.  Engineers did the logical thing and printed both sets of corrdinates on a single chart.

The colorized version is the admittance-impedance version of the Smith Chart and has Y-coordinates in red and Z-coordinates in blue so that a transmission line problem can be worked out with whatever set of coordinates work best.  Adding components in series and parallel transforms an impedance along circles and arcs representig constance resistance, conductance, reactance and susceptance.

The admittance-only version of the Smith Chart is inverted from the impedance-only Smith Chart both horizontally anbd vertically about the center point.

If you are an electrical or electronics engineer specializing in radio frequencies (RF), you know how relevant this Smith Chart is to assist in solving problems with transmission lines and matching circuits. It's a GREAT problem solving aid!  Order your laminated Smith Chart Diagrams today!
